Mrs. Grieger
This is my 14th year as a School Social Worker at Hadley and I am excited to be working with students at all grade levels. Ms. Kosinski and I work collaboratively to provide social work services to the students at Hadley and we are available to answer any questions and address any concerns that you might have. I received my B.A. in Psychology from the University of Buffalo and my Masters in Social Work from Jane Addams College of Social Work at UIC. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in addition to being a School Social Worker. I also teach in the graduate schools of National Louis University and Aurora University. I love working with students at the Middle School level as they grow and develop their own identities. I work with both special education students and general education students to support their social, emotional and behavioral functioning. My husband and I are the parents of 2 wonderful young adults. I am proud to say that John is a Civil Engineer and Laura is a Speech and Language Pathologist. When I am not at school, I love to travel, garden, read and take long walks. |
Ms. Kosinski
I’m so excited to be here at Hadley this year as one of your School Social Workers. Mrs. Grieger and I work collaboratively together and are eager to work with your students in the Social Work Program. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns….my door is always open! I received my B.A. in Psychology from DePaul University and my Masters in Social Work from Jane Addams School of Social Work at UIC. This is my 19th year in the district and I have been at each school in some capacity throughout those years. My passion is working with English Language Learners (ELLs). My role has been to help our ELLs navigate the social and emotional adjustments of school and life in general. I myself was a second language learner and feel a strong connection with my students as I “have walked in their shoes”. I speak Polish and have some conversational Spanish under my belt and am always looking to strengthen these skills as languages open so many doors! This year I will also be working with special education students providing social work services as dictated by their IEPs. I enjoy the diversity and challenge of my role here at Hadley. My “other life” includes a husband, 3 beautiful children (ages 19, 14 and 11) and a crazy Border Collie/Terrier mix! We enjoy being outside juggling various activities along with filling our home with music. 5 |
